Sketchbook: Dec. 20, 2020
Following my note about Pete Postlethwaite, I decided to use him as a reference for today’s sketchbook entry. He has very distinct facial features with proportions unlike the characters I generally draw. His eyes sit higher than the midline I usually choose, giving him a longer face, and his cheeks are incredibly defined, a feature I rarely include in male characters.
I also focused on his eyes a bit more since they had a bit more “droop” as well as larger eyebrows. Overall, it was a nice little case study and is a page I will likely reference in the future if I have any characters with similar features.
